Zipping Along
To complete this challenge I persuaded hubby to have a go too. We combined this with a bike road trip to have a couple of days in North Wales & it was fun to ride along the roads to a quiet corner of North Wales to reach the Zip World centre.
This video clip was me just messing around with some special effects on my phone when I had some time to spare.
Before you start they go through a safety briefing & get you checked for height & weight before letting you put on the overalls & helmets. Once togged up you travel by lorry up the side of an old slag heap to reach the first level zip wire. This is considerably slower than the main ride & I think they do this to make sure everyone is comfortable with the general idea.

Once completed you get back into the lorry & travel to the next level. Here you are invited to lay on a bench while the staff get you into the harness & attach the cables & weights to achieve a fast and smooth ride. There are four lines & when when everyone is secured the benches drop away & you are launched down the wire. It was exhilarating & lots of fun. For me over too quickly & would led another go but it was pricey & fully booked so that wasn’t a possibility.
I loved this challenge & would happily have another go & have since completed the zipline over Downtown Las Vegas.
