I’m Going to Get Really Knotted Now!

A Knotty Problem
Trying to learn how to 7 knots in a week was surprisingly harder than it seemed. Not to mention more than a tad frustrating.
In addition I also had a job trying to film myself attempting this. I needed to acquire a few extra skills to try & accomplish this.
I may have been a girl guide but I am not sure it helped some 40 odd years later! My oldest friend set the challenge triggering decades old memories. Particulary those days as teenagers putting on our uniform & walking to the girl guide hut.
Girl Guides
I admit this challenge did test my patience at various points during the week. It certainly wasn’t as easy as I had thought it would be. Still I did have a laugh struggling to ‘force’ the rabbit through the hole & such like.
Think I might have failed as a jolly jack tar if left to my own devices tying the ropes on an old sailing boat. Definitely think I would have been much better at ‘splicing the mainbrace’. It was clear I needed a few of these by the time I was finished.

Not sure if we actually got a badge for our knot tying knowledge but from bootlaces to belts the knowledge come in handy

The second of the Retirement Challenges that I attempted as it seemed to be an ‘easy’ & quick one to achieve but it was harder than it seemed.
