This post is in response to the following question. ‘Whats the biggest risk you’d like to take but haven’t been able to?’

One of the wtfimu2n challenges was to complete a sky dive. Pre pandemic I had started to investigate but had to halt plans with the lockdowns.

Since then life has gotten in the way & I haven’t really restarted the investigation in to the how’s & where’s of this activity.

Putting the Brakes On

I guess being diagnosed with Scleroderma & Raynauds has rather brought some activities to a grinding halt. Being unable to regulate my body temperature efficiently has been a major factor.

Jumping out of an airplane with at least one numb hand due to temperature changes doesn’t have much appeal if I’m honest. Plus I am not sure I would be covered by any type of insurance because it either.

Though with my ever growing collection of gloves for all occasions maybe I could risk it? Perhaps if I am feeling brave I might ask.

For now it’s on the back burner so to speak as I plod on with learning Spanish, juggling & slack lining ( but only when the weathers good).

Paragliding

There is a small part of me that still would like to. I have previously done a tandem para glide off the side of a mountain in New Zealand a few years ago & that was awesome.

The paragliding was a spur of the moment decision while sat on the side of a mountain in Queens Town. My son wanted to have a go & hubby said only if I wanted to have a go.

Think he thought he could stay drinking coffee & laugh at us but I said all of us or none. So we all had a go. Each with an experienced pilot in a tandem harness.

I sort of feel the sky dive would be along the same lines but several more notches up the adrenaline junkie scale.

So watch this space. I belong to the never say never school of thinking so who knows what may lay ahead.
